Luke has recently completed our Level 7 Business Strategic Management course. Read below his Anglosphre Innovation College experience.
I chose AI College due to the flexibility of completing a Level 7 qualification while working around a busy online work schedule. During the pandemic, I wanted to make the most of the opportunity to learn strategic content towards running a small enterprise and work towards a recognised qualification while saving money to gain 120 credits towards an MBA.
My AI College experience was extremely positive, the range of video content and module guidance was supportive towards the final 8 module assignments. The tutors are efficient at marking and feeding back on assignments, one of AI College many USP’s and it was great to track progress on the VLE – which was a strong motivator towards the end goal to complete the course within a year.
I liked that I could reflect on my own work experience and practice across all assignment – it helps to add context to the theoretical content, especially to my weakest areas being Strategic HRM and Organisational Behaviour.
My advice to future AI College learners – never let a learning barrier limit your achievement. Anything is possible, use the guidance and assignment briefs carefully, and plan your assignment responses before starting them – it really helps keep track when fragmenting the tasks into your weekly plan. Consistency is the key, large gaps in your learning do mean more time spent in remembering the tasks, so check your personal schedules and plan your time in advance and use the VLE as one of your motivators – it does work!
My plan is to gain the final 60 credits of the final MBA at one of the link universities – even when you have completed the qualification – the AI College team supports future applications at other institutions. Overall, this has been a fantastic journey, and I would recommend anyone to use the current lockdown to make progress, at a substantially lower cost than a traditional university.
